“4 God-like Qualities We Need in 2019!” (1-20-19 Exhaustive Outline)
   - 2 Peter 1:1-11 (NKJV)

  1. Love - It’s God’s nature.
      - 1 John 4:7-12 (KJV)
      - Wonder why God keeps “hard to love people” in your life?
So you will stay close to Him. If you always try to avoid
difficult people, you will never learn what true agape love
is all about. They help us mature and grow.
      - Try not to be one of those “hard to love people.”
      - Matthew 18:6-7 (NKJV)

  2. Keep your promises - It’s what God does.
      - Joshua 23:14 (KJV)
      - One of the best gifts you can give your spouse and
children is to keep your promises. It is a picture of
who God is and how He keeps His promises in His Word.
      - Numbers 30:2 (ESV)
      - Deuteronomy 23:23 (ESV)
      - Ecclesiastes 5:4-7 (ESV)
      - An unkept promise is similar to a lie. It breeds mistrust
         and uncertainty.

  3. Stay principled - It’s part of being a wise disciple.
      - Romans 14:1-4 (KJV)
      - Learn the difference between principle and preference.
      - Our flesh is an expert at demeaning others in an attempt
to make ourselves look good. It wars against God’s Spirit
         directing our lives.
      - Romans 8:7 (KJV)
      - Personal preferences are not necessarily spiritual principles.
Appearance, musical taste, preacher style, teaching style,
age, birth, color, education, baptistry design, etc. are NOT
        principles.
      - 1 Corinthians 6:12 (NASB)

  4.  Be an encourager - It’s what others need.
      - Romans 14:17-19 (ESV)
      - 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV)
      - Parakaleo (Gr.) - to call to one’s side. (108 times)(Beseech,
         desired, besought, comfort, exhort)(para - close beside;
         intimacy)
      - Biblical encouragement involves getting involved, not
simply with words, but with genuine care and concern
which involves one’s time and attention.

Love, keep your promises, stay principled, and encourage!
